This HIF-2 alpha (ep190b) antibody is useful for ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded sections and Western Blot. In WB, it recognizes a band at ~118 kDa representing HIF-2 alpha. The observed molecular weight of the protein may vary from the listed predicted molecular weight due to post translational modifications, post translation cleavages, relative charges, and other experimental factors.
Disclaimer note: The observed molecular weight of the protein may vary from the listed predicted molecular weight due to post translational modifications, post translation cleavages, relative charges, and other experimental factors.
Ability to use in mouse is mixed with some positive and some negative results.

Hypoxia contributes significantly to the pathophysiology of major categories of human disease, including myocardial and cerebral ischemia, cancer, pulmonary hypertension, congenital heart disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. HIF-2 alpha is predominantly expressed in highly vascularized tissues of adult humans and endothelial cells of the embryonic and adult mouse, whereas HIF-1 alpha functions primarily in extravascular tissues. HIF-2 alpha is also a potent activator of the tie-2 gene, which is known to be selectively expressed in endothelial cells.

FAQs for HIF-2 alpha/EPAS1 Antibody (NB100-132C). (Showing 1 - 3 of 3 FAQ).
Do you sell the proper isotype control for this antibody? If not, do you know where I can find this? Or, can I use a APC conjugated mouse IgG1 for isotype control?
- Any APC-conjugated IgG1 isotype control is appropriate. NBP1-43003 is the proper isotype control for this antibody that we carry.
Regarding NB100-132C, the datasheet says "Ability to use in mouse is mixed with some positive and some negative results." Is this due to mouse anti-mouse effect? Or, because this antibody doesn't cross react well with mouse antigen?
- The mixed results on staining mouse cells comes from customer feedback. This is simply because of the general issues in mouse-on-mouse staining.
Is Dylight 650 similar to APC?
- Yes, DyLight 650 is an equivalent of APC.
