SETDB1 Antibody

Whole cell extract (30 ug) was separated by 5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with SETDB1 antibody [N1], N-term (NBP2-20321) diluted at 1:2000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used to detect the primary antibody.

HeLa whole cell and nuclear extract (30 ug) were separated by 5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with SETDB1 antibody [N1], N-term (NBP2-20321) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used to detect the primary antibody.

Cross-linked ChIP was performed with HeLa chromatin extract and 5 ug of either control rabbit IgG or anti-SETDB1 antibody. The precipitated DNA was detected by PCR with primer set targeting to P53P2.

Background

This gene encodes a histone methyltransferase. The encoded enzyme catalyzes the reaction of S-adenosyl-L-methionine and histone L-lysine to produce S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine and histone N(6)-methyl-L-lysine. The encoded protein likely functions in transcriptional repression. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
