Mouse Endoglin/CD105 Quantikine ELISA Kit Summary

Background
The Quantikine Mouse Endoglin Immunoassay is a 4.5 hour solid phase ELISA designed to measure mouse Endoglin in cell culture supernates, cell lysates, serum, plasma, and urine. It contains NS0-expressed recombinant mouse Endoglin and antibodies raised against the recombinant factor. This immunoassay has been shown to quantitate the recombinant factor accurately. Results obtained using natura...l Endoglin showed dose-response curves that were parallel to the standard curves obtained using the recombinant kit standards. These results indicate that this kit can be used to determine relative mass values for natural mouse Endoglin.

Background

Endoglin (CD105) is a transmembrane type III receptor for TGF-beta superfamily ligands and plays an important role in smooth muscle differentiation, angiogenesis, and neovascularization. It is highly expressed on proliferating vascular endothelial cells, chondrocytes, and syncytiotrophoblasts of term placenta. Human Endoglin haploinsufficiency can a cause the vascular disorder, hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia type I. Elevated levels of anti-angiogenic soluble Endoglin contribute to pathogenicity in preeclampsia. Endoglin associates with the receptors TGF-beta RII, Activin RIIA or RIIB, BMPR-IA/ALK-3, or BMPR-IB/ALK6 and enhance binding of Activin A, BMP-2, -7, -9, TGF-beta 1, or TGF-beta 3. Endoglin can either enhance or inhibit signaling through these receptor complexes.

FAQs for Endoglin/CD105 (MNDG00). (Showing 1 - 2 of 2 FAQs).

  1. I wonder if you have a CD105 or CD34 antibody suitable for IHC that is specific for human and do not bind mouse?
    • We do not have any anti-human CD34 or CD105 antibodies that are confirmed to NOT detect the mouse protein. When we have tested an antibody and confirmed that it will not react with mouse samples, we will add Mu(-) to the datasheet, and unfortunately all of our CD105 and CD34 antibodies will either detect the mouse protein, or they have not been used in mouse samples before.
  2. We are interested in CD105 antibodies that could react with dog, please let me know which products in your catalog you would recommend.
    • We do not currently carry any CD105 antibodies that have been validated for use in dog samples. However, if you are interested in testing any of our CD105 antibodies with dog samples you would be eligible for our Innovators Reward Program, in which you can get a discount voucher for the purchase price of the product. Please contact us at innovators@novusbio.com with any questions regarding this program.
