Western Blot: ILT2/CD85j/LILRB1 Antibody (PSH04-59) [NBP3-32537] - Western blot analysis of ILT2/CD85j/LILRB1 on different lysates with Rabbit anti-ILT2/CD85j/LILRB1 antibody (NBP3-32537) at 1/1,000 dilution. Lane 1: Raji cell lysate Lane 2: Daudi cell lysate Lane 3: THP-1 cell lysate Lane 4: A431 cell lysate (negative) Lane 5: K-562 cell lysate (negative) Lysates/proteins at 20 ug/Lane. Predicted band size: 71 kDa Observed band size: 120 kDa Exposure time: 1 minute; ECL; 4-20% SDS-PAGE gel. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody at 1/50,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.

Background

LILRB1 is a member of the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor (LIR) family, which is found in a gene cluster at chromosomal region 19q13.4. The encoded protein belongs to the subfamily B class of LIR receptors which contain two or four extracellular immunoglobulin domains, a transmembrane domain, and two to four cytoplasmic immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs). The receptor is expressed on immune cells where it binds to MHC class I molecules on antigen-presenting cells and transduces a negative signal that inhibits stimulation of an immune response. It is thought to control inflammatory responses and cytotoxicity to help focus the immune response and limit autoreactivity. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
