Background
CXCL7 is a member of the alpha (CXC) subfamily of chemokines. Rat CXCL7 cDNA encodes a 111 amino acid residue precursor protein. Rat CXCL7 shares 72% amino acid sequence identity with mouse CXCL7 (accession number AAG36786).
