CCR6 (18B9E6) was detected in immersion fixed HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line using Rat anti-CCR6 (18B9E6) Protein G Purified Monoclonal Antibody conjugated to Alexa Fluor ® 488 (Catalog # NBP2-25224AF488) (green) at 10 µg/mL overnight at 4C. Cells were counterstained with DAPI (dark blue). Cells were imaged using a 100X objective and digitally deconvolved.

Background

CD196 (CCR6) belongs to family A of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. The gene is preferentially expressed by immature dendritic cells and memory T cells. The ligand of this receptor is macrophage inflammatory protein 3 alpha (MIP-3 alpha). This receptor has been shown to be important for B-lineage maturation and antigen-driven B-cell differentiation, and it may regulate the migration and recruitment of dendritic and T cells during inflammatory and immunological responses.
