Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: PGAM2 Antibody [NBP1-32966] - HeLa cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min. Green: PGAM2 protein stained by PGAM2 antibody diluted at 1:500. Red: alpha Tubulin, a cytoskeleton marker, stained by alpha Tubulin antibody [B-5-1-2] diluted at 1:10000. Blue: Hoechst 33342 staining.

Western Blot: PGAM2 Antibody [NBP1-32966] - Whole cell extract (30 ug) was separated by 12% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with PGAM2 antibody (NBP1-32966) diluted at 1:10000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used to detect the primary antibody.

Background

Phosphoglycerate mutase (PGAM) catalyzes the reversible reaction of 3-phosphoglycerate (3-PGA) to 2-phosphoglycerate (2-PGA) in the glycolytic pathway. The PGAM is a dimeric enzyme containing, in different tissues, different proportions of a slow-migrating muscle (MM) isozyme, a fast-migrating brain (BB) isozyme, and a hybrid form (MB). This gene encodes muscle-specific PGAM subunit. Mutations in this gene cause muscle phosphoglycerate mutase eficiency, also known as glycogen storage disease X. (provided by RefSeq)
