Background

Four PDGF family members, A, B, C and D, have been identified. PDGF-B can exist as a disulfide-linked homodimer (PDGF-BB) or heterodimer (PDGF-AB). PDGF-B binds and activates PDGF R alpha and PDGF R beta.

Tissue was stained using the VisuCyte anti-mouse HRP polymer detection reagent (Catalog # VC001) with DAB chromogen (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: c-Myc Antibody (9E10) [NB600-302] - HeLa cells were fixed for 10 minutes using 10% formalin and then permeabilized for 5 minutes using 1X TBS + 0.5% Triton-X100. The cells were incubated with anti-c-Myc (9E10) at 10 ug/ml overnight at 4C and detected with an anti-mouse Dylight 488 (Green) at a 1:500 dilution. The single band at 37 kDa represents GAPDH protein.
Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: c-Fos Antibody (2H2) [NBP2-50037] - Section of rat hippocampus stained with mouse monoclonal antibody to c-FOS NBP2-50037 in red and counterstained with rabbit polyclonal antibody to FOX3/NeuN. DAPI reveals nuclei of neurons and glia in blue. The hippocampal neurons stain green for FOX3/NeuN and a few also are expressing c-FOS, and so appear orange. These cells were spontaneously active at the time the animal was sacrificed.
