NLRP10, also known as Pynod, NALP10, and NOD8, is a 75 kDa cytoplasmic protein that associates with the ASC component of inflammasomes. NLRP10 inhibits ASC‑dependent apoptosis, NFkB activation, and Caspase-1-dependent processing of IL-1 beta . Human NLRP10 contains one Pyrin domain (aa 1-96) and one NACHT domain (aa 167-484) but no leucine-rich repeats. Within aa 386-655, human NLRP10 shares approximately 50% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat NLRP10.
