Background

Steroid receptor coactivator 3 (SRC3) is a ~154 kDa nuclear receptor coactivator that directly binds nuclear receptors and stimulates the transcriptional activities in hormone-dependent fashion. SRC3 recruits 2 other nuclear factors, CBP and PCAF, and thus plays a central role in creating a multisubunit coactivator complex.
