Background
Melanocortin 4 receptor (MC4R), a Melanocortin Receptor, has been shown to affect food intake and energy balance. Recently MC4R has been shown to modulate erectile function and sexual behavior (Van Der Ploeg et al. 2002). Expression of MC4R has been reported in brain. Unlike the other melanocortin receptors, MC4R is not expressed in adrenal cortex or in melanocytes.
Limitations
This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Primary Antibodies are
guaranteed for 1 year from date of receipt.
