A synthetic peptide from the internal part of mouse NPY (Neuropeptide Y) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in many other species including human, rat, zebrafish and xenopus.
Specific for NPY.
Test in a species/application not listed above to receive a full credit towards a future purchase.
Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin/Frozen (cryo and paraffin sections), Western Blot. A dilution of 1: 300 to 1: 3000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Store at 4C short term. Aliquot and store at -20C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Neuropeptide Y (NPY) is a 36-amino-acid residue peptide with sequence and 3-D structural homology with PYY and pancreatic polypeptide (PP). NPY serves as a neurotransmitter and is exclusively localized in neurons in the central and peripheral nervous system. NPY is associated with the regulation of heart rate and food intake in several mammalian species.
