Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: FE65 Antibody [NBP2-99557] - Immunofluorescence staining of FE65 in HeLa cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-human FE65 polyclonal antibody (dilution ratio 1:1000) at 4C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor(R)488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG Secondary antibody (green). Positive staining was localized to Nucleus .

Background

Amyloid beta A4 precursor protein-binding family B member 1, also known as FE65, is a signaling adaptor of APP protein. The FE65/APP complex has been shown to translocate into the cell nucleus and regulate gene expression, indicating that FE65 may be critical in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease. Genetic studies in mice validated FE65-APP interaction and molecular studies provided evidence on the role of the complex in abnormal signaling detected in brains of Alzheimer's Disease patients.

FE65 antibodies are useful tools for research on Alzheimer's disease progression.
