The ascitic fluid is purified further by filtration through sequential filters with the last filter at 2 um. The concentration of the monoclonal antibody present in the ascites is determined with commercial radial immunodiffusion kits (1mg/ml). |

Background
CD45RB is an alternatively spliced form of CD45, a cell surface glycoprotein. It is expressed on peripheral B cells, T cytotoxic cells and CD4+ T cells. It has a role in cell signalling regulation through the activation of the Src family of tyrosine kinases.
