Western Blot: SDHB Antibody [NBP1-54154] - analysis of SDHB in porcine whole skeletal muscle lysate using anti-SDHB antibody. The primary antibody was used at a dilution of 1:2000 and incubated for 18 hours at 4C. Image ...read more
Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence: SDHB Antibody [NBP1-54154] - ICC staining of SDHB in HeLa cells with FITC (green). Nuclei were counterstained with Dapi (blue).
Immunohistochemistry: SDHB Antibody [NBP1-54154] - IHC staining of SDHB in mouse bladder.
Western Blot: SDHB Antibody [NBP1-54154] - Detection of SDHB in mouse kidney lysate.
This SDHB antibody is useful for ICC/IF, IHC and Western blot where a band is seen ~31 kDa. Prior to immunostaining paraffin tissues, antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is recommended.
succinate dehydrogenase complex, subunit B, iron sulfur (Ip)
SDHB [Succinate dehydrogenase (ubiquinone) iron-sulfur subunit, mitochondrial] is an iron-sulfur protein subunit of succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) which is involved in mitochondrial electron transport chain's complex II and is accountable for electrons transfer from succinate to ubiquinone/coenzyme Q. The complex II is a key respiratory enzyme which links Krebs cycle and electron transport chain, and is composed of four subunits: the flavoprotein SDHA, iron-sulfur protein SDHB, and a cytochrome b560 composed of SDHC and SDHD as well as additional groups such as iron-sulphur centres and ubiquinone. SDH complex functions as a tumour suppressor, and loss of any of the subunit proteins leads to destabilization of the complex that follows carcinogenesis. Defects in SDHB have also been linked to susceptibility to pheochromocytoma (PCC), paragangliomas type 4 (PGL4), paraganglioma and gastric stromal sarcoma (PGGSS), and Cowden-like syndrome (CWDLS).
This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Primary Antibodies are guaranteed for 1 year from date of receipt.
Antibody works great for purified mitochondria, but struggles with whole skeletal muscle lysate. Also has some non-specific binding (70 kDa and 45 kDa). That's why we gave it a 3 star rating, but it does identify SDHB at 27 kDa.
