Background
RND3 is a gene that codes for a protein that binds GTP but is resistant to Rho-specific GTPase-activating proteins as well as lacks certain GTPase activities, and is 244 amino acids long and weighs approximately 27 kDa. Current studies are being done on several diseases and disorders relating to this gene including colon, gastric, lung and prostate cancers, glioblastoma, hypoxia, prostatitis, melanoma, and carcinoma. RND3 has also been shown to have interactions with SFN, ARHGAP5, PLXNB1, ROCK1, and UBXN11 in pathways such as the cytoskeletal signaling and selected targets of CREB1 and p53 pathways.
