Human LIF ELISA Kit (Colorimetric) Summary
Description |
The human LIF ELISA is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative detection of human LIF |
Specificity |
The cross-reactivity and interference of circulating factors of the immune system was evaluated by spiking these proteins at physiologically relevant concentrations into a human LIF positive serum. No cross-reactivity or interference was detected. |

Background
Leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) is a cytokine which was primarily described as a product of activated T lymphocytes and macrophages. It is a variably glycosylated 180 amino acid protein of apparent molecular weight between 35 and 67 kDa depending on its source and glycosylation. The human LIF-gene is located on chromosome 22, the gene product is highly conserved between species. The multivarious nature of LIF is illustrated by its multiple "discoveries" under a variety of synonyms. LIF exerts its pleiotropic functions in a wide variety of systems. Examples for its important and diverse physiological functions are support of growth and inhibition of differentiation of normal embryonic stem cells, stimulation of the production of acute-phase proteins by hepatocytes. A soluble form of LIF can be detected in human body fluids such as serum, whole blood, synovial fluid and urine.

FAQs for LIF ELISA Kit (NBP1-91186). (Showing 1 - 1 of 1 FAQ).
-
In the product insert it is mentioned that Colored dyes for optional use with this kit are available and will be provided free of charge upon request and for the same it is advised to refer the catalog number NBP2-41404. But the status of the said pack of vials are currently showing as "discontinued". May I request you to kindly confirm whether some other dye would be offered along with this kit and if the customer needs to request for it separately.
- For our kit NBP1-91186, we recently changed the format for this ELISA kit. The current format no longer includes the need for the colored dyes that were once included in the kit. We offer these dyes for customers that have purchased this kit in its old formulation and still require these dyes for their analysis. The dyes are no longer required for detection in kits that are purchased moving forward. If it is still intended on performing an ELISA and needs these dyes for their analysis, they can still be provided upon request.
