Background

Fc gamma RIIB, also known as CD32b, is a low affinity inhibitory receptor for the Fc portion of the IgG molecules. Fc gamma RIIB is expressed on B cells, macrophages, neutrophils, and mast cells and is involved in phagocytosis of immune complexes and modulation of antibody production by B cells.
