Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: DDX5 Antibody [NBP2-98889] - Immunofluorescence staining of DDX5 in HeLa cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with NBP2-98889 antibody (1:1000) at 4C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor(R)488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green).Positive staining was localized to nucleus.

Background

DDX5, also known as Probable ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX5, is a 69.1 kDa, 613 amino acid protein that regulates pre-mRNA splicing by increasing the inclusion of tau exon 10. Current research with the protein is being conducted for diseases and disorders such as squamous cell carcinoma, breast cancer, fibrosis, prostate cancer, hepatitis, malaria, and myeloma. The protein interacts in translational control and spliceosome pathways with HIST1H4A- HIST1H4E proteins.
