Western Blot: Apolipoprotein H/ApoH Antibody (JE37-02) [NBP3-32044] - Western blot analysis of Apolipoprotein H/ApoH on human liver tissue lysates with Rabbit anti-Apolipoprotein H/ApoH antibody (NBP3-32044) at 1/1,000 dilution. Lysates/proteins at 40 ug/Lane. Predicted band size: 38 kDa Observed band size: 38/55 kDa Exposure time: 3 minutes; 4-20% SDS-PAGE gel. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (NBP3-32044) at 1/1,000 dilution was used in 5% NFDM/TBST at room temperature for 2 hours. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody at 1:100,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.

Background

Apolipoprotein H has been implicated in a variety of physiologic pathways including lipoprotein metabolism, coagulation, and the production of antiphospholipid autoantibodies. APOH may be a required cofactor for anionic phospholipid binding by the antiphospholipid autoantibodies found in sera of many patients with lupus and primary antiphospholipid syndrome, but it does not seem to be required for the reactivity of antiphospholipid autoantibodies associated with infections.
