RUNX3/CBFA3 was detected in immersion fixed Raji human Burkitt's lymphoma cell line using Goat Anti-Human RUNX3/CBFA3 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF3765) at 15 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # NL001) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Background

RUNX3, also known as CBFA3 and PEBP2 alpha (polyomavirus enhancer binding protein 2 alpha ) is a member of the runt-related (RUNX) family of transcription factors. It is the DNA binding subunit of the heterodimeric transcription factor CBF/PEBP2. RUNX3 is a nuclear effector of the BMP/TGF-beta pathways and its inactivation or reduced expression is associated with numerous human malignancies. Two isoforms that differ in their N-terminal 5/19 residues have been reported. The 415 amino acid residue of human RUNX3 shares 91% amino acid sequence homology with mouse or rat RUNX3.
