Mouse CCL20/MIP-3 alpha Quantikine ELISA Kit Summary

Background
The Quantikine Mouse MIP-3 alpha Immunoassay is a 4.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed to measure mouse MIP-3 alpha in cell culture supernates, serum, and plasma. It contains E. coli-expressed recombinant mouse MIP-3 alpha and antibodies raised against the recombinant factor. This immunoassay has been shown to accurately quantitate the recombinant factor. Results obtained using natur...al mouse MIP-3 alpha showed linear curves that were parallel to the standard curves obtained using the Quantikine kit standards. These results indicate that this kit can be used to determine relative mass values for naturally occurring mouse MIP-3 alpha.

Background

CCL20, also known as MIP-3 alpha, is a chemokine that plays an important role in dendritic cell trafficking and recruitment and activation of T cells. It is upregulated in monocytes, T cells, endothelial cells, epithelial cells, and fibroblasts following inflammatory stimulation. CCL20 signals through CCR6 which is expressed on memory T cells, B cells and bone marrow-derived dendritic cells.
