Human CXCL10/IP-10 Quantikine ELISA Kit Summary
The Quantikine Human IP-10 Immunoassay is a 4.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed to measure human IP-10
in cell culture supernates, serum, plasma, saliva, and urine. It contains E. coli-expressed recombinant human IP-10 and has been shown to accurately quantitate the recombinant factor. Results obtained using natural human IP-10 showed linear curves that were parallel to the standard ... curves obtained using the Quantikine kit standards. These results indicate that this kit can be used to determine relative mass values for naturally occurring IP-10.

IP-10 was originally identified as an IFN-gamma-inducible gene in monocytes, fibroblasts and endothelial cells. The mouse homolog of human IP-10, CRG-2, shares approximately 67% amino acid sequence identity with human IP-10. The amino acid sequence of IP-10 identified the protein as a member of the CXC chemokine subfamily.
