Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: HDJ2 Antibody (23C6) [NBP3-26616] - Staining of A549 cell with HDJ2 Antibody (23C6) at 1:50, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 550-conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L).

Background

HDJ 2 is a novel human homolog of E. coli's DNA J protein from heat shock protein 40 family. Hsp 40 is involved in chaperonic protein folding. HDJ-2 is cytoplasmic and nuclear membrane associated protein; upon heat shock it migrates and becomes associated with the golgi complex, nucleous and nuclear membrane. HDJ 2 has a prenylated C-terminus and is not inducible upon heat shock.
