Background

Gamma secretase activating protein (GSAP) is implicated in Alzheimer's disease, through instigating plaque formation of amyloid beta. Immunohistochemistry to identify GSAP in brain can demonstrate its abundance in certain regions of damage, and is usually morphologically changed throughout the progression of Alzheimer's disease.
