• Application Notes: WB: Preliminary experiments gave an approx. 60 kDa band in human brain (amygdala) lysates after 1 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 112 kDa band according to NP_060021.1. The 60 kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

Background

GRID1 is subunit of glutamate receptor channels. These channels mediate most of the fast excitatory synaptic transmission in the central nervous system and play key roles in synaptic plasticity (Yamazaki et al., 1992 [PubMed 1372507]).[supplied by OMIM]
