EGFR Antibody (GFR450) Summary

Immunogen
Recombinant extracellular domain of human EGFR protein
Localization
Cell surface
Specificity
This MAb recognizes a protein of 170kDa, identified as EGFR. EGFR is type I receptor tyrosine kinase with sequence homology to erbB-1, -2, -3 -4 or HER-1, -2, -3 -4. It binds to Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF), Transforming Growth Factor-a (TGF-a), Heparin-binding EGF (HB-EGF), amphiregulin, betacellulin and epiregulin. EGFR is overexpressed in tumors of breast, brain, bladder, lung, gastric, head & neck, esophagus, cervix, vulva, ovary, and endometrium. It is predominantly present in squamous cell carcinomas.

FAQs for EGFR Antibody (NBP2-29440). (Showing 1 - 1 of 1 FAQ).

  1. I am looking at NBP2-29440-20ug. I see in your dilutions you say for IHC-P to us 0.5 ug/mL but for application notes it says 2-4 ug/mL --which is the recommended dilution?
    • If formalin fixed then you will want to try: Immunohistology (Formalin-fixed) (2-4ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT) (Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes). If not formalin fixed then Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin 0.5-1.0ug/ml. The dilutions are also just guidelines and we recommend optimizing for your own system.
