Background

Epidermal growth factor (EGF) is a 53 amino acid growth factor that stimulates cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation upon binding to its receptor, EGFR. EGF binding to EGFR promotes dimerization of EGFR and phosphorylation on its tyrosine residues. Tyrosine phosphorylation induces a signal cascade that results in the growth of various epidermal and epithelial tissues in vivo and in vitro. EGF is found in most body fluids including as urine (urogastrone), saliva, milk and platelet-rich plasma.

FAQs for EGF Antibody (NBP1-19806). (Showing 1 - 1 of 1 FAQs).

  1. I recently acquired your anti-EGF antibody ref NBP1-19806. In the datasheet you don't have the indication that it can be used for imunoprecipitation/co-imunoprecipitation. Do you have data proving it does not work? or it was never tested?
    • This antibody has not been tested/validated in Immunoprecipitation. If it was tested and did not work it would be noted in the application section with IP(-).
