• Application Notes: WB: Preliminary experiments gave an approx. 26 kDa band in human brain (cerebellum and hippocampus) lysates after 0.1 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 137 kDa band according to NP_058648.4. The 27 kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

Background

CDON and BOC (MIM 608708) are cell surface receptors of the immunoglobulin (Ig)/fibronectin type III (FNIII; see MIM 135600) repeat family involved in myogenic differentiation. CDON and BOC are coexpressed during development, form complexes with each other in a cis fashion, and are related to each other in their ectodomains, but each has a unique long cytoplasmic tail.[supplied by OMIM]
