• Description: CoraFluor(TM) 1 is a high performance terbium-based TR-FRET (Time-Resolved Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) or TRF (Time-Resolved Fluorescence) donor for high throughput assay development. CoraFluor(IM) 1 absorbs UV light at approximately 340 nm, and emits at approximately 490 nm, 545 nm, 585 nm and 620 nm. It is compatible with common acceptor dyes that absorb at the emission wavelengths of CoraFluor(TM) 1. CoraFluor(TM) 1 can be used for the development of robust and scalable TR-FRET binding assays such as target engagement, ternary complex, protein-protein interaction and protein quantification assays.

• Immunogen: This antibody was raised by immunising mice with an EBV-transformed B cell line from a patient with MHC class II deficiency.
• Specificity: OTH-74D4 antibody recognises CD45RA, which is an CD45 isoform containing only protein A region.The CD45RA antigen is expressed mostly on naive CD4+, CD8+ and gd+ T and on most B and NK lymphocytes. Generally the CD45RA antigen density decreases upon activation.

Background

The CD45 molecule is comprised of different glycoproteins ranging from 180-240 kD. Expression of CD45 is found on all hemopoietic cells. Detection of the different isoforms can distinguish between different cell forms i.e. naive T cells and memory T cells. CD45RA is an isoform of the CD45 complex and has restricted expression between different subtypes of lymphoid cells. The functional activity of each CD45 isotype also varies.
