The sections were immunoreacted with antibodies against GAP43 and OMP and stained with DAPI. Confocal images were taken from olfactory turbinate II. ![Western Blot: GAP-43 Antibody [NB300-143] - Obesity & diabetes led to white adipose tissue neuropathy.The BTBR ob/ob (MUT) model of obesity & diabetes was compared to BTBR +/+ wild-type (WT) for body weight measurements (a), & adiposity (b). Body & tissue weight data were analyzed by two-tailed Student’s t-test. Von Frey tactile allodynia analysis was performed on MUT & WT animals to determine onset of peripheral neuropathy (c). Von Frey data was analyzed by ANOVA with Sidak’s post hoc test. For (a-c), all males; WT N = 8, 12–20 weeks old; MUT N = 6, 12–24 weeks old. Protein levels of PGP9.5 (d), as well as TH (e) in inguinal scWAT of the MUT & WT mice were measured by western blotting. For (e), lane 5 was excluded from analyses due to uneven resolution of housekeeper. For (d-e), all males; WT N = 5, 12–20 weeks old & MUT N = 4, 12–20 weeks old. Protein expression of PGP9.5 (f), TH (g), PSD95 (h), & GAP43 (i) in inguinal scWAT of 12–25 weeks old WT, 12 week old MUT & 24–28 week old MUT was measured by western blotting. ![Immunocytochemistry: N-Cadherin Antibody (13A9) [NBP1-48309] - Human meningioma mouse xenograft model KCI-MENG1-LPSX generated with the spontaneously immortal cell line KCI-MENG1-LP. Tumors from immunocompromised SCID mice were dissected and the derivative cell line KCI-MENG1-LPSX CL was generated. The EMA, PR, and N-cadherin IHC of the mouse tumor highly resembled the original patient-derived tumor. The vimentin- and Ki-67-stained cells in the mouse tumor tissue were markedly more abundant and more intensely stained than in the original tumor. KCI-MENG1-LPSX CL cells displayed the same patterns of immunostaining as the high passage parent cell line KCI-MENG1-HP, including the loss of PR staining. Scale bar 50 um. ![Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence: Calbindin D-28K Antibody [NBP2-50028] - Myh14 localizes to apical membranes of Atp6v1b1‐positive intercalated cells in the distal tubule. Adult kidney sections were stained for calbindin‐D28K, Atp6v1b1, Aqp2, & Myh14 to identify intercalated cells within the distal & connecting tubule segments as well as to confirm Myh14 localization to the intercalated cell type. Cells with positive staining for Atp6v1b1 (red) can be found in tubule segments positive for calbindin‐D28K only (A–D) as well as in tubules positive for both calbindin‐D28K & Aqp2 (E–H); in both cases Atp6v1b1 staining is observed along the basolateral membrane indicating beta ‐ intercalated cell type (arrowhead, D&H). We also observed Atp6v1b1 staining in majority of the tubules along the apical membrane indicating the alpha ‐ intercalated cell type (arrowhead, I–L). Myh14 localized to the apical membrane of the intercalated cell type in the distal tubule (arrowhead, M–P).
