Western Blot: PYCR1 Antibody [NBP2-20016] - Whole cell extract (30 ug) was separated by 12% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with PYCR1 antibody (NBP2-20016) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used to detect the primary antibody, and the signal was developed with Trident ECL plus-Enhanced.

Background

This gene encodes an enzyme that catalyzes the NAD(P)H-dependent conversion of pyrroline-5-carboxylate to proline. This enzyme may also play a physiologic role in the generation of NADP(+) in some cell types. The protein forms a homopolymer and localizes to the mitochondrion.
