The monoclonal antibody NIMP-R14 has been succesfully used to stain neutrophils for fluorescent activated cell sorting and in frozen and paraffin sections. Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence was reported in scientific literature.

Ly6G is a GPI-anchored protein, that is also known as the myeloid differentiation antigen Gr1. The antigen is transiently expressed on monocytes in the bone marrow. The level of antigen expression in the bone marrow directly correlates with granulocyte differentiation and maturation. Ly6G is expressed predominantly on neutrophils, also in a subset of eosinophils, differentiating pre-monocytes, and plasmacytoid dendritic cells.

FAQs for Ly-6G6C Antibody (NB600-1387). (Showing 1 - 1 of 1 FAQs).
I want to know whether the LY-6G6C Antibody(NIMP-R14) has alternate name, such as "Gr 1"
Our Ly-6G6C antibody with catalogue number NB600-1387 was raised against purified BALB/c mouse neutrophils, and is highly specific for murine Ly-6G and Ly-6C. The Ly-6G/-6C locus encodes a family of Ly-6 proteins which includes Ly-6G and Ly-6C. Ly-6 antigens have a molecular weight of between 15,000 and 18,000. Ly6G is together with Ly6C a component of the myeloid differentiation antigen Gr-1.
