Application Notes
By Western blot a band is seen at ~140 kDa. Another band is seen >200 kDa and a faint band may be seen ~80 kDa. In ICC/IF, nuclear staining was observed in HeLa cells. In IHC-P, staining was observed in the nucleus of mouse brain. Prior to immunostaining paraffin tissues, antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is recommended.
In Simple Western only 10 - 15 uL of the recommended dilution is used per data point. See Simple Western Antibody Database for Simple Western validation: Tested in Human Brain lysate 0.5 mg/mL, separated by Size, antibody dilution of 1:10, apparent MW was 128 kDa. Separated by Size-Wes, Sally Sue/Peggy Sue.

Background
JARID2 (also known as Jumonji) is a nuclear protein that participates in the negative regulation of cell growth. It is required for neural tube formation and is essential for normal heart development and function. As well, it is a part of a group of proteins characterized by a novel structural motif, the JmjC domain, which is implicated in chromatin regulation through histone demethylation.
Limitations
This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Primary Antibodies are guaranteed for 1 year from date of receipt.

What is the WB band size and recommended antibody dilution?
We observed a band at approximately 140kDa. The bands ~80 and 200kDa also come up on our blots but we are not sure of their identity. Recommended dilution for WB is 2ug/ml.
