Western Blot: IL7 Receptor alpha Antibody [NBP2-29618] - WB analysis of IL7 Receptor alpha/CD127 protein on (A) partial recombinant protein IL7 Receptor alpha (primary antibody conc. 0.5 ug/ml) and on (B) human spleen lysate (primary antibody conc. 4.0 ug/ml). In spleen lysate, this antibody detected a distinct IL7 Receptor alpha band at its predicted size (~50-55 kDa) along with some diffused bands at higher molecular weight position (potentially the glycosylated form of this protein).

Background

IL-7R, or CD127, is often used to characterize regulatory T cells or T-regs. By phenotyping, IL-7R is inversely correlated with the high levels of the hallmark T-reg transcription factor FoxP3. Lowered expression of IL-7R on the cell surface along with CD25 and CD4 in addition to FoxP3 internal expression is a major and routinely used technique for Treg cell studies. IL-7R residing on the surface enables enrichment and purification of T-reg populations. Antibody to IL-7R is useful for phenotyping, identification, enumeration and purification of T-regs.
