  1. Assay Diluent (Item E2): 5x concentrated buffer.
  2. Detection Antibody GDF-15 (Item F): Biotinylated anti-human GDF-15. Each vial isenough to assay half the microplate.
  3. GDF-15 Microplate (Item A): 96 wells (12 strips x 8 wells) coated with anti-humanGDF-15
  4. HRP-Streptavidin concentrates (Item G): 500x concentrated HRP-conjugatedStreptavidin.
  5. Standard Protein (Item C): Human GDF-15. I vial is enough to run each standard induplicate.
  6. Stop Solution (Item I): 0.2 M sulfuric acid.
  7. TMB One-Step Substrate Reagent (Item H): 3, 3’, 5, 5’- tetramethylbenzidine (TMB)in buffered solution.
  8. Wash Buffer Concentrate (20x) (Item B): 20X concentrated solution.

Background

Growth differentiation factor 15 (GDF15) is a transforming growth factor beta superfamily member that acts to regulate inflammatory and apoptotic responses in injured or diseased tissues. GDF15 is most strongly expressed in the liver, placenta and kidney.

GDF15 antibodies are useful for studies on inflamation and immune system research.
