Aminio Acid Sequence: Thr32 - His266

Lyophilized from 0.2 mm filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.2.
Details of Functionality
The ED50, as determined by inhibition of Wnt-3a induced alkaline phosphatase production using mouse MC3T3E1 cells, is less than 150 ng/ml.
Protein/Peptide Type
Recombinant Protein
Endotoxin Note
Less than 1 EU/ug of the rHuDkk-1 as determined by LAL method.

Packaging, Storage & Formulations

Store at -20C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitution Instructions
Centrifuge prior to opening. Reconstitute with sterilized PBS or aqueous buffer to a final concentration of 0.1 mg/ml.

This lyophilized preparation is stable at 2-8 degrees C, but should be kept at -20 degrees C for long term storage, preferably desiccated. Upon reconstitution, the preparation is most stable at -20 to -80 degrees C, and can be stored for one week at 2-8 degrees C. For maximal stability, apportion the reconstituted preparation into working aliquots and store at -20 degrees C to -80 degrees C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Dickkopf related protein 1 (Dkk-1), along with Dkk -2, -3, -4, and Soggy, are secreted proteins with two conserved cysteine-rich domains. Mature human Dkk-1 is a 40 kDa glycosylated protein that shares 86% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat Dkk-1. Dkk-1 antagonizes Wnt signaling by forming ternary complexes with LRP5/6 and Kremen1 or Kremen2. Its function is important during the development of limbs, neurons, hair follicles, retina, and bone.
