Background

Factor VII is a 50kDa multi-domain, single chain plasma glycoprotein synthesized in the liver and having abnormal circulating concentration of between 400 and 600 ug/L. It is essential for blood coagulation. Factor VII is converted to the active, two chain, serine protease Factor VIIa through cleavage by thrombin, factor Xa, factor IXa or factor XIIa. Factor VIIa converts factor X to factor Xa, which in turn converts prothrombin to thrombin.

Limitations

FAQs for Coagulation Factor VII Antibody (NBP1-45150). (Showing 1 - 2 of 2 FAQ).

  1. Can you provide more detailed information about the exact epitope sequence of this antibody?
    • The immunogen was the full-length human factor VII protein (rather than a shorter immunogenic peptide). The epitope of NBP1-45150 has not been mapped, and so we do not have any information about where on factor VII these antibodies bind.
  2. Can you please give us all the data you have regarding the stability (shelf life) of this antibody at 4 degrees, minus 20 degrees and minus 70 degrees?
    • This antibody is stable at 4C for short term (usually no more than 1 week) and at -20C for long term (up to 1 year). The antibody has not yet been tested at temperatures lower than -20C.
