Aurora A (1F8) was detected in immersion fixed Caco-2 human colorectal adenocarcinoma cell line using Mouse anti-Aurora A (1F8) Protein G Purified Monoclonal Antibody conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488 (Catalog # NBP2-22118AF488) (green) at 10 µg/mL overnight at 4C. Cells were counterstained with DAPI (dark blue). Cells were imaged using a 100X objective and digitally deconvolved.

Aurora A (1F8) was detected in immersion fixed Caco-2 human colorectal adenocarcinoma cell line using Mouse anti-Aurora A (1F8) Protein G Purified Monoclonal Antibody conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 647 (Catalog # NBP2-22118AF647) (light blue) at 10 µg/mL overnight at 4C. Background

Aurora A plays a role in cell cycle regulation during anaphase and/or telophase, in relation to the function of the centrosome/spindle pole region during chromosome segregation. Aurora A plays a key role during tumor development and progression and is overexpressed in many human cancers including breast, ovarian and colorectal. Aurora A is viewed as a potential target for anticancer drug treatment.Tissue specificity: Highly expressed in testis and weakly in skeletal muscle, thymus and spleen. Also highly expressed in colon, ovarian, prostate, neuroblastoma, breast and cervical cancer cell lines.
