Background

WIF-1 is a secreted protein of approximately 50 kDa that binds Wnt proteins and antagonizes Wnt-induced signaling. WIF-1 expression is down regulated in several human cancers. Mature mouse WIF-1 shares 95% and 98% amino acid sequence identity with human and rat WIF-1, respectively.
