Background
Rat Transferrin is a blood plasma glycoprotein which binds iron and regulates the amount of available iron in circulation. Rat Transferrin has a high affinity for iron, but this binding is reversible. Rat Transferrin has a molecular weight of approximately 80 kDa. Rat Transferrin also plays a role in the immune system, creating environments low in iron for which many pathogenic bacteria are unable to thrive.
Limitations
This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Peptides and proteins are
guaranteed for 3 months from date of receipt.
