Background
TRIP11/TRIP230 was identified as a co-activator of the thyroid hormone receptor (TR). TRIP230 has also been identified as an essential coactivator of AHR (aryl-hydrocarbon receptor) and HIF (hypoxia inducible factor). Additionally, TRIP11/TRIP230 has been observed to play a role in maintaining cis-Golgi structure.
