RECK Antibody [Unconjugated]

Western blot shows lysates of human liver tissue. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Human RECK Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF1734) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF019). A specific band was detected for RECK at approximately 130 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.

Background

RECK is a GPI-anchored membrane protein that is highly expressed in most of the human tissues and untransformed cells, but is undetectable in tumor cells. RECK can negatively regulate MMP-9, MMP-2 and MTI-MMP activity and inhibit tumor angiogenesis and metastasis.
