NF-L Antibody (1033926) [Unconjugated]

NF‑L was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of Human Hippocampus using Mouse Anti-Human NF‑L Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB22165) at 1.7 µg/mL for 1 hour at room temperature followed by incubation with the Anti-Mouse IgG VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer Antibody (Catalog # VC001). Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using VisUCyte Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic (Catalog # VCTS021). Tissue was stained using DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to neuronal cell bodies and processes. Background

NF-L is a 68 kDa light chain cytoskeletal intermediate filament protein that is expressed in neurons. It associates with the 125 kDa NF-M and the 200 kDa NF-H to form neurofilaments.
