• Application Notes: Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:32000. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 75-80kDa band in Human Heart and Testes lysates after 0.3ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 107kDa according to NP_149107.3. The 75-80kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Have any further splice variants/modified forms been reported?

Background

NEK9 is a pleiotropic regulator of mitotic progression, participating in the control of spindle dynamics and chromosome separation. It phosphorylates different histones, myelin basic protein, beta-casein, and BICD2. NEK9 phosphorylates histone H3 on serine and threonine residues and beta-casein on serine residues.
