Alternate Names for KMT3B/NSD1 Antibody
Background
KMT3B/NSD1 is a histone methyltransferase that preferentially methylates Lys-36 of histone H3 and Lys-20 of histone H4. KMT3B/NSD1 can function as an androgen receptor coactivator and is capable of both negatively and positively influencing transcription. Mutations in KMT3B/NSD1 are responsible for Sotos syndrome, Weaver syndrome, Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome, and a form of childhood leukemia. Alternate names for KMT3B/NSD1 include nuclear receptor binding SET domain protein 1, ARA267, ARA-267 androgen receptor-associated coregulator 267, STO, SOTOS, Sotos syndrome, and FLJ22263.
