Background

The glutathione S-transferases (GST; EC 2.5.1.18) catalyze the conjugation of reduced glutathiones and a variety of electrophiles, including many known carcinogens and mutagens.   GSTA5 antibody used for WB (1:1000 dilution) on MDA-MB-231 and H226 cancer cells treated or not with 100 nM endothelin 1/ET-1 for 24, 48 and 72 hours (Fig. 4B and 4D). WB also performed on MDA-MB-231 cancer cells that were pre-incubated for 2 hours with 1 uM BQ123, 1 uM BQ788, BQ123 plus BQ788, or 100 nM macitentan and then cultured alone /Tc or co-incubated with murine astrocytes /Tc + astrocytes (Fig. 5C). GSTA5 WB also performed on MDA-MB-231 cancer cells stimulated with astrocyte-conditioned media for 48 hours (Supplementary Fig. S6B and S6C).
