The protein encoded by this gene, a member of the claudin family, is an integral membrane protein and a component of tight junction strands. Loss of function mutations result in neonatal ichthyosis-sclerosing cholangitis syndrome.

We are looking for two corresponding products, claudin 1 antibody and a peptide which can blocks the CLDN1.Could you plase kindly provide us solution for it? We found at your website one product, namely Claudin 1 Peptide ( NBP1-77036PEP),which can be used for blocking the activity of CLDN1. For the immunogen, 20 amino acids near the carboxy terminus of CLDN1 was mentioned. We found four Claudin 1 antibody ( NBP1-74546,NBP1-35652,NBP1-74517,H00009076-M1),and the immunogen was again the C-terminus of the Claudin 1.Cold you please send me more information about this C-terminus sequence?Is it the same in case of the NBP1-77036PEP and the four mentined antibodies?
The blocking peptide is a good purchase. The epitope for NBP1-35652 has not been mapped and the immunogen sequence is confidential, it is contained within the range between aa 140-211 of O95832 (Uniprot). Unfortunately NBP1-74517 has been discontinued. The amino acid sequence for H00009076-M01 is (AAH12471.1, 1 a.a. ~ 211 a.a). Unfortunately the lab that provides NBP1-74546 will not provide me with an aa range for the epitope as this is proprietary information that they are not willing to pass on.
