Recombinant Human Chromogranin A protein was serially diluted 2-fold and captured by Mouse Anti-Human Chromogranin A Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB9098) coated on a Clear Polystyrene Microplate (Catalog # DY990). Mouse Anti-Human Chromogranin A Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB90982) was biotinylated and incubated with the protein captured on the plate. Detection of the standard curve was achieved by incubating Streptavidin-HRP (Catalog # DY998) followed by Substrate Solution (Catalog # DY999) and stopping the enzymatic reaction with Stop Solution (Catalog # DY994).

Background

Human Chromogranin A (CHGA) an acidic protein and a member of the chromogranin/secretogranin family of neuroendocrine secretory proteins. It is located in secretory vesicles of neurons and endocrine cells such as islet beta cell secretory granules in pancreas. Chromogranin A expression has been oberserved in neuroendocrine tumors, medullary thyroid carcinoma, as well as carcinoid tumors.
