Western Blot: CH25H Antibody [NBP2-83971] - Cholesterol Hydroxylases are Upregulated by IL-1 beta. IL-1 beta induces the expression of cholesterol hydroxylase CH25H in FLS. CH25H was measured by western blot and quantified using imageJ. FLS were treated with 1 ng/mL IL-1 beta or 0.1 uM T0901317 for 24, 48, and 72 h. Background

CH25H that is involved in cholesterol and lipid metabolism. The encoded protein is a membrane protein and contains clusters of histidine residues essential for catalytic activity. Unlike most other sterol hydroxylases, this enzyme is a member of a small family of enzymes that utilize diiron cofactors to catalyze the hydroxylation of hydrophobic substrates.
